The summer school (July 15-21, 2018) in Meßkirch is a collaboration between the Universidad de Sevilla, the Martin-Heidegger-Archiv, the Martin-Heidegger-Stiftung and the R & D Research Project of Excellence: “Dynamics of Care and theUncanny. Forms of theUncanny in the contemporary phenomenological debate and the possibilities of a Philosophical Orientation. Theoretical-methodologicalconfiguration”(FFI2017-83770-P).
It will be a bilingual event (Spanish/English) in order to reach as many students as possible. Thegoal is to enable students to study Heidegger’s most famous work Sein und Zeit under supervision of experienced Heidegger researchers and to offer an introduction to his life and work. Besides presentations on Sein und Zeit and its place within the Heideggerian corpus, there will be reading sessions based on the German text and the Spanish and English translation, in which the text will be discussed in detail. Students and assistant researchers will have the opportunity to give a presentation – either on Sein und Zeit or related to their own research.
Since the summer school takes place in Heidegger’s hometown Meßkirch students and assistants researchers will have the opportunity to experience Heidegger’s “Heimat” directly. Also included in the programis a trip to Todtnauberg and a visit of Heidegger’s famous hut.
