Becoming becomings historically
a commentary on Lapoujade's article
Shuang-Shuang Xu , Xiao-Wen Li
pp. 366-372
This commentary on Lapoujade (Human Arenas, 1, 1–9, 2018) elaborates the author's ideas from a new angle. It reviews the "liquid" and "gaseous" society at the level of capital and technology and also tries to analyze the origin of the problems of modern society from a philosophic perspective: abstract individuals caused by the subjectification of self-consciousness and abstract labor. By analyzing and discussing the relationship between ideology and the realistic world, the difference between abstract individuals and realistic individuals and the historical construction of human essence, the possibility of philosophy as an international healing resource, is explored.
