Hans Albert's Critical Rationalism radicalized

The Perspective of a Sociologist of Law

Edoardo Fittipaldi

pp. 109-115

I regard myself as a pupil of Hans Albert and as a follower of his ideas. In this text I shall shortly present my version of his critical rationalism, a version that is to a large extent the result of my attempt to apply his ideas to the investigation of legal phenomena. On a few points I depart from Albert's teachings. In my opinion, those points, rather than divergences, are simply internal developments, or—more precisely—radicalizations of ideas already implied in Albert's writings.
